Now Is The Time

How many of us keep things to ourselves out of the fear that we'll lose them or things we keep for the future out of the fear that we'll run short of them. We all, at some point in time, have these fears which in turn makes us protect our treasures and secure our resources. But it's only when we share our possessions, we truly gain. Give off your articles to the needy. Share your knowledge and talents with the world and expend your money only then it will all grow in abundance. We really need very less than we think. So instead of saving for the uncertain future, utilise it now. Go ahead share those secret recipes, open those jars of jewels and use the money before it all becomes useless. Now is the time. Share and care. Expend and expand.

Moon's Day Out

The moon was aesthetically generous as he magnanimously replaced the early setting Sun in the North East. But he was also stubbornly mean as he wanted us to forget the Sun and bask in his divine light.

November

November. The feel good month. My birth month. Somehow I love November. It sprinkles joy and freshness. The summer dusks and the winters dawns in it. It's a month of vacations, togetherness, and festivities. I love the cool mornings and late evening breeze it carries. When the year begins I wait for November and when it ends I wait for the next one.

Apocalypse Of Life's Song

She gathered strength, played the violin with all her might
blocking flow of tears with her hands; geared up
for she knew it was life's last fight.

It had to be a masterstroke
Overwhelmingly; she moved the bow
with a heavy heart & slight tears, she was broke.

The prelude suffered from fatal lyrics
melancholic symphony
astrayed harmony
even improvisations added to unwanted mix.

The struggle was inevitable & apparent
with unmatched notations
& forced conglomerations
the unpreparedness was blatant.

The beats were dark & painful
the chords tangled
the leads misguided
The bass, the treble were dreadful.

The chorus was chaotic all along
there were broken instruments & the crescendo
towards the dead end, she walked slow
the wishes buried & heart hollow
emotions subdued & sound mellow
it was apocalypse of her life' s song.

The Shadow that was....

                                                                 The Lonely Shadow

It was dark, black and a rare foe
Darkness in low light,
miserable in twilight,
extinct in day light
fortunately; it was a shadow

The shadow was shabby
Fortunately; the details were not revealing.

The shadow was sinful
Fortunately; it had no soul.

The shadow had wounds
Fortunately; it was clear from the outset.

The shadow had a sad face
Fortunately; the tears were not visible.

The shadow was offensive
Fortunately; it had no one to defend from.

The shadow was selfish
Fortunately. it had no friends.

The shadow had no purpose
Fortunately, it had no goals.

It was humble, silly and a black outline
Rising from light
Moving towards darkness
that helpless shadow
Unfortunately; it was mine.

A Flying Kite

A Kite has always amused me. Its amazing how a piece of paper flies up above controlled by just a slender thread. Up in the winds, through the clouds and amongst the birds; it sails over the blue skies so undisturbed. Wish we could fly like a kite in the peaceful atmosphere far above from the sorrows of the Earth.

Tossed up in the sky
they fly high;

They swoop, they swirl
round and around they go
Sometimes high, Sometimes low;

With the arms outstretched & sails set
far above terraces & trees
they soar high.
